Abstract

The purpose of this research were (1) to study the enhancement of enhancing computational thinking abilities by using problem-based learning with social learning networks, (2) to study the students' computational thinking abilities using problem-based learning with social learning networks and (3) to study student’s satisfaction after learning with problem-based learning with social learning networks. The target group in this research are 33 students in enrichment science classroom of Mattayomsuksa 4 in Phadungnaree School. Conducted using classroom action research. The research instruments included (1) learning plan by using problem-based learning with social learning networks, (2) learning diary, (3) a computational thinking ability assessment form and (4) satisfaction questionnaire. The data analysis statistics were descriptive statistics, mean and standard deviation.

The results followed by the research: (1) The Enhancement of computational thinking abilities by using problem-based learning with social learning networks of two action cycles. Students’ computational thinking ability on the first action cycle was at a good level and the second action cycle was at a very good level respectively. (2) Students who received problem-based learning activities together with social learning networks have higher computational thinking ability. (3) The student’s overall satisfaction by using problem-based learning with social learning networks showed at the very high level.
