A Study of the Current Conditions and Learning Management Needs in Social Studies for the 21st Century through the Application of the Threefold Training to Enhance Social Skills of Social Studies Education Students at Mahamakut Buddhist University, Isan Campus
Abstract
The objective of this study was to investigate the current situation and the needs regarding instructional management for enhancing social skills among students majoring in Social Studies Education at Mahamakut Buddhist University, Isan Campus. The target group consisted of 132 undergraduate students enrolled in the Social Studies Education program at Mahamakut Buddhist University, Isan Campus. The research instrument was a five-point Likert scale questionnaire administered to the students. Data were analyzed using mean (µ) and standard deviation (σ). The findings revealed that the issues faced by Social Studies Education students in relation to the current situation of developing an instructional model for 21st-century social studies learning, based on the principles of the Threefold Training, to enhance social skills, had a mean score of (µ) = 4.46 and (σ) = 0.58, indicating that the current situation and the needs were at a high level.
