The Effects of Problem-Based Learning on Solution of Concentration to Develop Learning Achievement and Problem Solving Abilities of Mattayomsuksa 4 Students in Pathum Thani Province

The purposes of this research were: (1)to compare the pre-post learning achievement in the topic Concentration with the use of Problem-Based Learning and; (2)
to compare the pre-post problem solving abilities of Matthayomsuksa 4 Students in Pathumthani Province.
The research sample consisted of 26 Matthayomsuksa 4 student obtained by cluster sampling. The employed research instruments were lesson plans in the topic of Concentration with the use of Problem-Based Learning, pre-post learning achievement test, pre-post problem solving abilities test. The statistical procedure for data analysis was dependent t-test.
The study indicated that the post-learning achievement it the topic of Concentration with the use of Problem-Based Learning was significantly higher than pre-learning counterpart at the .05 level of statistical significance.; and post-learning problem solving abilities score with the use of Problem-Based Learning was significantly higher than pre-learning counterpart at the .05 level of statistical significance.
