การศึกษาประสิทธิผลของการบริหารกิจการคณะสงฆ์ ในเขตอำเภอเมืองสุรินทร์ จังหวัดสุรินทร์

Abstract

The aims of this research were to study effectiveness of implementation of the Sangha missions in Muang  Surin District, Surin Province, to compare personal opinions to effectiveness of implementation of the Sangha missions, and to study suggestions for Sangha Affairs Administration in Muang  Surin District, Surin Province. The samples are 80 Buddhist monks of temples in the area of Muang  Surin District and 198 laymen in the area of Muang Surin District, Surin Province.  Instruments used in the research are open – ended questionnaire, close – ended questionnaire, and interview. Statistics used in the research are percentage, average, standard deviation, and caparison of the opinion levels with the help on the F – test statistics

          The findings are as follows :

1. The opinions of Buddhist monks to the effectiveness of Sangha Affairs Administration in Muang Surin District are in the middle level, and the laymen are in high level
2. Buddhist monks and laymen who have got different status and educational qualifications have significant different opinions at .05 level of statistics on the effectiveness of Sangha Affairs Administration in Muang Surin District, but the different ages have insignificant different opinions at .05 level of statistics on the effectiveness of Sangha Affairs Administration in Muang Surin District.

Suggestions for Sangha Affairs Administration in Muang Surin District are as follows; the ecclesiastical leaders should administer members with strictly principles of Dhamma and Vinaya; the Sangha should hold a meeting to convey governing policy to members; the Sangha should encourage Buddhist monks, novices, and general students to learn more about principles of Dhamma and Vinaya; the Sangha should provide enough scholarships to Buddhist monks, novices, and general students; the Sangha should encourage Buddhist monks to teach and cultivate students at schools; the Sangha should support the project of virtues cultivation as well as Buddhism propagation; and the Sangha should find out the suitable places for Buddhist meditation practice to general people
