Developing a Participatory Strategic Management Model to Improve the Academic Achievement of Students under the Maha Sarakham Secondary Education Service Area Office

This research aimed to 1) study the problem situation and the needs for improving the academic achievement of students, and 2) develop a participatory strategic management model to enhance the academic achievement of students under the Secondary Educational Service Area Office of Maha Sarakham. The target groups for Phase 1 of the study, which focused on problem identification and needs assessment, included 112 school administrators, teachers, and educational personnel. Phase 2 focused on the development of the model, involving 17 educational personnel and 9 expert groups. The research tools included questionnaires and evaluation forms, and the statistical methods used were mean, standard deviation, and summary analysis. The findings revealed that 1) the problem situation regarding the development of student academic achievement was at a high level overall, and the need to develop academic achievement was at the highest level, and 2) the participatory strategic management model to enhance student academic achievement included key components such as principles, objectives, and strategies. The four development strategies were: improving student quality, developing the quality of teachers and educational personnel, enhancing management systems, and fostering partnership networks through the MK ERAWAN strategic management process.
