The Development of Creative-Based Learning Activity Packages Integrated with Online Lessons on Ancient World Civilizations for Grade 11 Students at Wat Klang Municipal School under the Education Office of Khon Kaen Municipality
Abstract
Abstract
This research aimed to: (1) develop creative-based learning activity packages integrated with online lessons on the topic of Ancient World Civilizations for Grade 11 students at Wat Klang Municipal School under the Education Office of Khon Kaen Municipality; (2) compare the learning achievement between the experimental and control groups before and after the learning process; (3) compare students’ creative thinking skills between the experimental and control groups after the learning process; and (4) examine students’ satisfaction toward the creative-based learning activity packages integrated with online lessons. The population consisted of 420 Grade 11 students at Wat Klang Municipal School. The sample group consisted of 70 students divided into two groups: an experimental group of 35 students and a control group of 35 students. The research instruments included creative-based learning activity packages, a pre-test and post-test achievement test, a creative thinking skills assessment form, and a satisfaction questionnaire. The statistical methods used for data analysis included percentage, mean, standard deviation, t-test, and the efficiency formula (E1/E2).
The research results were as follows:
- The creative-based learning activities integrated with online lessons on Ancient World Civilizations used with the experimental group demonstrated an efficiency of 87.63/84.29 (E1/E2), which is higher than the predetermined efficiency criterion of 80/80. This indicates that the developed instructional package is effective and appropriate for classroom learning management.
- The learning achievement of the experimental group and the control group showed significant differences. Students in the experimental group achieved higher post-learning achievement than those in the control group at the .05 level of statistical significance (X̄ = 19.14, S.D. = 1.33).
- The creative thinking skills of the experimental and control groups were significantly different. Students in the experimental group demonstrated higher creative thinking skills after the learning process than those in the control group at the .05 level of statistical significance (X̄ = 76.02, S.D. = 2.96).
- The students’ satisfaction toward the creative-based learning activity packages integrated with online lessons on Ancient World Civilizations was at a high level (X̄ = 4.28, S.D. = 0.11).
