บทบาทของพระสงฆ์ต่อการพัฒนาวัดให้เป็นศูนย์กลางของชุมชนตำบลปรือ อำเภอปราสาท จังหวัดสุรินทร์

Abstract

The objectives of this research were to study the perspectives and the suggestions of Buddhist monks and people to the Sangha Role in the Temple-centered Development of Prue Sub-district Community, Prasat District, Surin Province. It was a survey research. Questionnaires were the tool in data collection. The samples were 100 of Buddhist monks and people. Statistics used in data analysis were frequency, percentage, mean, and standard deviation.

The results were found that in the holistic view, the perspectives of Buddhist monks and people to the Sangha Role in the Temple-centered Development of Prue Sub-district Community, Prasat District, Surin Province were in the middle level. In each aspect, it was found that the aspects of educational welfare and public service were in high level, and the other aspects were in the middle levels respectively from high to low levels as follows; the aspects of educational welfare, public service, religious studies, governance, public welfare, and propagation of the Buddhist teachings.

The suggestions to the six aspect of the Sangha Role in the temple-centered development of Prue Sub-district Community, Prasat District, Surin Province were found as follows;

• In the aspect of governance, the Sangha should administer the temple, look after the Buddhist monks and novices, and cultivate the people awareness.
• In the aspect of religious studies, the Sangha should promote the youngsters to be ordained for studying apart from meditation.
• In the aspect of educational welfare, the Sangha should persuade younger people to the temple and hold various activities for developing temple.
• In the aspect of propagation of the Buddhist teachings, the Sangha should provide chances to the Buddhists for Buddhist meditation.
• In the aspect of public service, the Sangha should manage the temple development activities such as big cleaning day in the holidays.
• In the aspect of public welfare, the Sangha should lead the Buddhist to do various activities.
