A STUDY OF GOVERNMANCE THE ECCLESIASTICAL AFFAIRS OF NON DIN DAENG DISTRICT BURIRAM PROVNCE

Abstract

The Sangha  administration  in  the  Buddha  time  was not like the present Organizational  a dministration. lt was the duty doing of Buddhist monks within themonastery. They had equal right in religious routine and life living which called governing by the Dhamma-Vinaya. The method of governance used by the Buddha was the selection of the persons wanted to become his followers by ordination and educated them with Dhamma-Vinaya.for  developing  themselves  and  propagating  Buddhism.

                The  principle  and  method of administration  of the Sangha in Non Din Daeng district, Buriram  province  was in accordance with the power and duty assigned by the regional Sanga  administration i.e. the  th Eccl. Regional Governor , the Eccl. Provincial Governor of Buriram province, the Eccl. District Offcer  , the Eccl. Sub-district head, and the abbot respectively.

Administration of the Sangha in Non Din Daeng district, Buriram province, emphasized on the level of the abbot should be as followe. The abbot should payattention to various conerning orders, regulations, and rules. He also should promote the religious education and educated people to realize the importance of ordination. Owing to that a less number of Buddhist wanted to come to be a member of the Sangha by ordination, the abbot should find out the different solving methods such as giving education scholarship up to bachelor of arts level to those poor students who were good at learning, etc.
