A ROLES OF WOMAN DEVELOPMENT COMMITTEE ON WOMAN’S STRENGTH PROMOTION IN WANG PONG DISTRICT, PHET CHABUN PROVINCE

Abstract

This current study aimed to study the present state of women development committee’s management in strengthening women in the communities in Wangpong district of Phetchabun province, compare the factors affecting women development committee’s management, and discover the problems and guidelines of women development committee. Due to quantitative research, the sample size was calculated by applying the Yamane formula, and its number received was 400 subjects. The instruments used to collect data was a paper questionnaire after that the surveyed data were analyzed though the following statistics:  frequency, percentage, average, standard deviation, and Pearson’s product moment correlation coefficient. The findings showed that the overall level of the women development committee’s management was high; in addition, each aspect resulted that Organizational Management leveled highest on average; the subsequent level on average consisted of Planning, Operations, and Improvement. Related to strengthening women in the communities, the overall level was high; meanwhile, each aspect resulted that Women’s Self-Reliance leveled highest; Women’s Self-Management and Women’s Learning Management were subsequent. The results of comparing the factors affecting the women development committee’s management showed that the overall management of women development leveled high. Meanwhile, the women development committee’s management in strengthening women in the communities leveled high in overall. Therefore, if the women development committee’s management was in a positive direction, the strength of Wangpong district’s women development committee would be positive as well.
