Abstract

Book Title: Buddhist Medicine Written by Somdej Phra Buddhakosajarn (P.A. Payutto), a senior monk who has many academic works on Buddhism. He is one of the important Buddhist scholars in Thailand. This book is analytical and reflects the Buddhist perspective on the medical and health system. It presents Buddhist medicine that emphasizes holistic treatment of the body, mind, and society. The main content of this book comes from the keynote speech at the 1st National Academic Conference on “Health Behavior” held on April 4, 1989 at the ASEAN Institute for Primary Health Care Development, Mahidol University.
