Abstract

This research used a mixed-method research methodology. The objectives were 1) to study the conditions and problems of modern student affairs administration of Mae Khu-Ma Ha Wan school group under the Tak primary educational service area office 2 and 2) to find guidelines for developing modern student affairs administration of Mae Khu-Ma Ha Wan school group under the Tak primary educational service area office 2. The population consisted of 128 administrators and teachers of Mae Khu-Ma Ha Wan school group under the Tak primary educational service area office 2 and 9 experts. The instruments used were questionnaires and structured interviews. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics. The results of the research found that the overall conditions of modern student affairs administration were at a high level (μ = 4.33). The implementation of the student care system was the highest level, while the implementation of student affairs administration planning was the last. Problems of modern student affairs administration were: teachers did not participate in analyzing the context to plan the administration. The work manual did not have clear criteria. The results were not used to analyze problems and set guidelines together. Individual student data was not up-to-date. The community did not have the opportunity to use the place to organize activities and evaluate the results comprehensively. The guidelines for developing modern student affairs administration should use participatory management to give all relevant parties an opportunity to participate in decision-making. Participate in organizing activities, evaluate results and participate in finding ways to develop operations at every step. Promote the use of information technology in operations, convenient data processing for use, create online social networks to increase communication channels between schools, parents and communities, and use standard tools to collect data and screen students for greater efficiency.
