THE DEVELOPMENT OF INSTRUCTIONAL PACKAGES FOR ENGLISH READING COMPREHENSION THROUGH KWL PLUS TECHNIQUE FOR MATHAYOMSUKSA 2 STUDENTS AT DONGKHUIWITTAYAKOM SCHOOL

Abstract

         The purposes of the research were: 1) to develop the efficiency of The Instructional Packages for English Reading Comprehension through KWL Plus technique for Mathayomsuksa 2 Students at Dongkhuiwittayakom School according to criteria 75/75 2) to compare the achievement of English Reading Comprehension between before and after using The Instructional Packages for English Reading Comprehension through KWL Plus technique for Mathayomsuksa 2 Students at Dongkhuiwittayakom School 3) To study the students’ satisfaction by using The Instructional Packages for English Reading Comprehension through KWL Plus technique for Mathayomsuksa 2 Students at Dongkhuiwittayakom School. The samples were 30 Students of Mathayomsuksa 2 at Dongkhuiwittayakom who were studying in the second semester, academic year 2021. They were selected by Purposive Sampling. The research tools were The Instructional Packages for English Reading Comprehension, The lesson plans, The English reading comprehension skills test and The Questionnaire of students' satisfaction. The statistics for data analysis were mean, standard deviation and t-test.

          The research  findings  were  as  follows:

          The Instructional Packages for English Reading Comprehension through KWL Plus technique was the most suitable quality. The efficiency was 85.70/83.67 The achievement of English Reading Comprehension of Mathayomsuksa 2 students after using The Instructional Packages for English Reading Comprehension through KWL Plus technique was higher than before using with the statistical significance at the .05 level and Students’ satisfaction by using The Instructional Packages for English Reading Comprehension through KWL Plus technique was at the high level. The mean score was 4.29, the standard deviation was 0.30.
