STRATEGIES AND FORMS OF STRENGTHENING THE KHON KAEN CITY NETWORK FOR SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT

Abstract

          The purposes of this research were: to study strategies and models of strengthening the Khon Kaen city network for sustainable development; to develop strategies and models of strengthening the Khon Kaen city network for sustainable development; to propose strategies and models for strengthening the Khon Kaen city network towards sustainable development. The research results showed that the strategy and models of strengthening the Khon Kaen city network towards sustainable development consists of 3 strategies, 9 tactics and 32 indicators: namely, Strategy 1: Environment consisting of the following tactics: Tactic 1: promotion of environmentally friendly industry, innovation and infrastructure with 5 indicators. Tactic 2: Sustainable settlement and community with 3 indicators. Tactic 3: promotion of environmentally friendly production and consumption with 3 indicators. Strategy 2: Quality of life: Tactic 4: equal quality education and lifelong learning with 4 indicators. Tactic 5: good water and sanitation access, with 4 indicators. Tactic 6: access to stable and clean energy with 3 indicators.Strategy 3: Peaceful society: Tactic 7: creating a peaceful and fair society and strong social institutions with 3 indicators. Tactic 8: promoting of participation at all levels in achieving global sustainable development goals, with 4 indicators.Tactic 9: reducing domestic and international inequality with 3 indicators.

          Suggestion

          Strategic construction and model for strengthening the Khon Kaen city network for sustainable development. That is to say, a framework for creating a strategy development model and using a prioritization method by analyzing necessary conditions will lead to a strategy and a model for strengthening the Khon Kaen city network for development. Sustainable, effective, can be used to formulate policies and evaluate the operations.

          Agencies should focus on sustainable development, namely environmental studies. Quality of life And the peaceful society for clear intelligence by adhering to the objectives of the United Nations In the strategy building process, in-depth interviews and small-group meetings should be used together. In the case that there is a long time in operation, which will make the research results more clear and the most effective.
