Development of a Website Picture Exchange Communication System in Communication of Children with Autism Spectrum

Abstract

Children with spectrum autism have limitations in language perception, communication, and Linguistic expression with delayed language development. There is a problem communicating with others. This research has studied ways to promote communication skills development with the aim of 1) To develop a website for image exchange systems in communication of children with autism spectrum according to 80 percent of the criteria 2) To compare the communication skills of children with autism spectrum before and after using the communication exchange system website The target group used in this study was based on the specific selection (Purpose Sampling) They are children with spectrum autism who have been medically diagnosed with spectrum autism, aged between 5 and 8 Research tools include 1) Communication exchange system website 2) Learning Management Plan 3) communication ability assessment Experiments were conducted five days a week for eight weeks, analyzing data using basic statistics such as percentage, mean, and standard deviation (S.D) 3) Skill comparison Communication with The Wilcoxon Rank Sum Test. Research has shown that It was found that 1) the communication exchange system website of children with autism spectrum had a performance rate of 83.78/99.33 percent, higher than the 80/80 threshold 2)  Results of comparison of communication skills of children with autism spectrum before and after using the communication exchange system website The evaluation results after using the training site were higher than before using the training site statistically significantly different at the level. 05 It is evident that the use of the communication exchange system website can develop children with autism.
