Abstract

The objective of this study was to Surveying the Current Teaching Situation of the Minnan Yueqin at Minnan Normal University, Zhangzhou City, Fujian Province. A qualitative research methodology was employed, utilizing both observation and interviews for data collection and descriptive analysis. The researcher conducted semi-structured interviews and engaged in ethnographic fieldwork. Observational data were systematically recorded using an observation form. The research findings revealed that teaching methods for the Minnan Yueqin integrate traditional oral instruction with modern multimedia tools. Traditional oral instruction enables students to experience and acquire Yueqin playing techniques and its artistic expression through direct interaction. However, this method has limitations in conveying theoretical knowledge systematically.
